I intended to post something for May 1st and got involved with stuff and forgot. Better late than never.
We had a dog show up yesterday evening and it spent the night on our porch. I took a photo and posted it in our area FB group. No help. This morning Brad remembered about the missing pets group so I checked it: LostPetsGraysonCountyTX. And…there she was! She belongs east of us, hasn’t lived there long and just got lost running with her sister three or four days ago. Her family recently moved here from the Sherman area. Her name is Jenna and she is a sweetheart. We are so glad to have been able to reunite her with her family. Very nice folks.

We used to have to deal with dogs that people dumped down the road from us but that hasn’t happened in quite a while. I thought at first that someone had dumped her, she is an older dog, but not in bad shape, just some grass burrs in her hair and she’s a little dirty. We gave her a few bites of left-over roast chicken and a couple of scrambled eggs this morning and she perked right up. Poor girl was about down for the count last night. I don’t think she moved at all. She loved it when I combed some of the burrs out of her hair and she loves tummy rubs! Nice to meet you, Jenna. Stay home, girl!
We felt like take-away for lunch and Brad put in an order to Chili’s and we picked it up and brought it home. We immediately divided our dinners in half and put the rest of it in the fridge and had it for dinner tonight. That was a lot of food! With the air fryer setting on our kitchen range we can reheat things like french fries and Chili’s Southwest Egg Rolls and the Chicken Crispers and it’s just as good as what we had at lunch. I am officially stuffed and will make a point to eat light tomorrow. I’ve not lost anymore weight but I’ll stay on top of it and try to do a better job.
I got a little bit of knitting done on our trip to and from Chili’s this afternoon. Reruns of Dr. Pol are on TV now and I’ll grab my knitting and see if I can finish the cranberry red yarn I’m working on for the current cowl.
We’ve got a couple of errands to run tomorrow and it will be good to get back in a normal routine. Brad has an appointment later in the week but most of our time will be spent at home. We’ve got a chance of rain tomorrow and we need it. Friday we are looking at temps around 90°. Typical bi-polar Texas weather. The mowers should be here Friday or Saturday. Brad managed to spread two bags of grass seed and we need the rain to get it growing.
Guess it’s time to wrap this up and get back to my knitting. Tomorrow I catch up on laundry and see about getting my studio organized. It’s become quite cluttered in the last six weeks and it’s bugging me. I need to finish plying a bobbin of yarn and decide on the next spinning project.
Have a blessed Tuesday night, ya’ll.
