It’s Been A Long Week

I pray your Holy Week and Triduum was blessed and productive. We’ve been home nursing acute sinusitis/bronchitis/coughing/nausea for the entire time. Today is the first day I can claim to feel anything like a human being once again. I finished the antibiotic and steroid last night and I’m taking it easy today, as is Brad. We’ve had a couple of light meals and he’s back propped up in bed, I’m back in my recliner for now.

I’m slowing regaining control over this messy house and finding some order in all the chaos. Little things take so much time. I got some dusting done in the living room. The kitchen is clean. Both bathrooms need attention but it’s going to have to wait another day.

The fridge, freezer and pantry are stocked but I forgot to add a couple of things to the online order I drove in to pick up yesterday evening. Again. It will wait another day. I’m ready for a nap in my recliner and maybe some knitting later on.

Have a blessed week, ya’ll. God bless.

I am a Native Texan, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Catholic Convert residing in rural North East Texas since 1975 when I married my husband and this small town girl became a country girl. I was taught to knit at the age of ten and discovered the writings of Elizabeth Zimmerman shortly after I married. I learned to ‘unvent’ things as I went along, to create my own patterns and generally have a blast with yarn and needles. In the mid 1980’s I explored the idea of spinning my own yarn and eventually got interested in weaving on a floor loom. I have three spinning wheels and a 24″ four-shaft Herald floor loom that I purchased from a friend in the 1990’s. I also enjoy sewing, tatting and making rosaries. I have a work room that contains my fiber, yarn, floor loom, sewing machines, serger and rosary making supplies. I have a spinning corner in a bedroom next to my work room, both with north windows looking toward the creek.
