It’s Time To Decide

I am ready to start the last pattern repeat on this shawl but I still have 1.4 ounces of yarn left. Do I go ahead and finish with 42 saw teeth or do I keep going and try to leave enough to bind off? Honestly I think I’m ready to bind off and just add what’s left to my bag of left over fingering yarn for another project. Yup. I think I’m ready to finish this project and get back to socks.

That lovely 75° weather we had yesterday turned into high 30’s last night and mid 40’s today. And windy. We had errands to run and ate lunch out and although it wasn’t that cool out it felt colder with the wind. It was good to get home and settled in for the evening. We had a light dinner after a full lunch. There isn’t anything else we need to do tomorrow. I have one load of laundry and not enough dishes to run the dishwasher. I guess I’ll be knitting. Not quite ready to get back to plying the BFL/Tussah yarn. I need to start a pot of chicken broth in the morning and let it simmer for awhile.

I, Robot is just starting on FXM so I’ll finish this post and watch that while I work on my knitting. I’ll have a hot shower when it’s over and get my butt in the bed before midnight for a change.

Have a good night, ya’ll.

I am a Native Texan, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Catholic Convert residing in rural North East Texas since 1975 when I married my husband and this small town girl became a country girl. I was taught to knit at the age of ten and discovered the writings of Elizabeth Zimmerman shortly after I married. I learned to ‘unvent’ things as I went along, to create my own patterns and generally have a blast with yarn and needles. In the mid 1980’s I explored the idea of spinning my own yarn and eventually got interested in weaving on a floor loom. I have three spinning wheels and a 24″ four-shaft Herald floor loom that I purchased from a friend in the 1990’s. I also enjoy sewing, tatting and making rosaries. I have a work room that contains my fiber, yarn, floor loom, sewing machines, serger and rosary making supplies. I have a spinning corner in a bedroom next to my work room, both with north windows looking toward the creek.
