The snow is gone, it’s still above freezing but will dip down below 30° tonight. I’ve spent the day in the recliner with a case of the sniffles and a bit of a cough from sinus drainage. Typical winter stuff in our area when the weather waffles back and forth this time of year.
Glad we got our errands run earlier in the week and have nothing in particular to do for a couple of days. I’m giving my hands a rest from knitting today, puttering around on the laptop playing games on Pogo and watching OAN on streaming video. In short: I’m bored. Yup. The woman who has no excuse to be bored…is bored. Such is life. It happens. Tomorrow is another day and I hope to have my sinus crud under control soon.
As for the winter weather event, it appears to have impacted other areas of the state and left us pretty much alone. Of course Oklahoma got a good bit of it as usual. And west Texas. And even south Texas. It’s 36° here now so we have the heat on emergency to give the heat pump a rest. It would be struggling before morning with below freezing temps.
Looks like Trump will be allowed back on Facebook and Instagram, but I’ll be surprised if he is active on either platform. He hasn’t been active on Twitter and has no plans to do so. Since he has his own social media platform he’s probably better off anyway.
Ilan Omar is upset about losing her seat on the foreign affairs committee and looked to be on the verge of tears earlier today. Shifty Schiff and Eric Fartwell are upset as well about losing their spots on the intel panel. It’s all rather entertaining to say the least. I don’t think a lot is going to change one way or another and I don’t actually care except for a passing chuckle at the expense of the bullies who’ve been lying to the American taxpayers for several years. But, politicians lie. It’s what they do. I have to say though, that the proposed Pelosi Act was a stroke of genius. Love the name of the bill. Not that I believe for a minute it will ever pass the Senate. But it’ll be fun to watch the show. Let’s not forget the popcorn.
So, hope your Hump Day has been pleasant and blessed. I’m headed off for a hot shower and a new lease on life. There isn’t much in life that a hot shower won’t improve!
