Elon Strikes Again, And Again

Yesterday was quite interesting. James O’Keefe, Emerald Robinson, Matt Couch, Mike Lindell and others had their accounts on Twitter restored. Then there was installment #6 of the Twitter Files aimed at the FBI. Fox was losing their collective minds starting with “Elon Musk’s Twitter Massacre” on The Five over Musk suspending ‘journalists’ who were doxxing him and his family, and blowing up with their evening edition over the Twitter Files. If I ate popcorn it would have been a full blown popcorn event.

I watched a few minutes of The Five, muted, then went to my studio to get some spinning done. An hour later I go back to the living room and Fox is coming unhinged over Part 6 of the Twitter Files so I log onto Twitter and watch the fun for a few minutes. Yup. I admit it. I’m easily entertained.

Oh, yeah, almost forgot about Trump’s Digital Trading Cards Collection. Everyone was making fun of him, saying how embarrassing it was and all, then the real bomb drops: They sold out of the cards in 12 hours and made 4.45 million bucks. Yeah, that was a hoot and a half!

The good news is that I am doing better at getting in my exercise, 250 steps hourly, this week and my ankle is not crankier than usual so I can put that in the ‘win’ column. The bad news is that we have both been eating too much junk and sweets this week. I don’t want to get on the scales until after New Years. Just sayin.

The fried-egg muffins were perfect for breakfast yesterday and I think that this morning would be a good time for some hot oatmeal topped with chopped nuts, dried cranberries, butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Yum! I’ve got some chicken breasts to cook and plenty of veggies to go with them for our evening meal and lots of fresh lettuce and veggies for a salad for lunch.

I have two more ounces of the BFL/Silk combed top prepped for spinning, having finished spinning the first two ounces yesterday. I’ve got plenty of fiber and I may go for a total of five ounces on the bobbin before beginning the second bobbin for a two ply yarn.

I’ve noticed a distinct musty odor in the house lately, probably due to all the rain we’ve had over the past few weeks. It seems to originate in the garage and I think we need to move ahead with the purchase and installation of the REME HALO air purifier unit recommended by our A/C guy. I am super sensitive to mold and mildew and I don’t need to end up sick in bed with a migraine or worse. Once that odor is in my nose I have trouble getting rid of it and keep smelling it til it makes me sick. I’ve had the diffusers going in three rooms of the house and that seems to help for awhile. Flushing my sinuses with saline solution helps even more and it probably wouldn’t hurt to take an antihistamine.

It’s time to think about breakfast and plan our day. I’ve got plenty to keep me busy as does Brad. Have a blessed Saturday, ya’ll.

I am a Native Texan, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Catholic Convert residing in rural North East Texas since 1975 when I married my husband and this small town girl became a country girl. I was taught to knit at the age of ten and discovered the writings of Elizabeth Zimmerman shortly after I married. I learned to ‘unvent’ things as I went along, to create my own patterns and generally have a blast with yarn and needles. In the mid 1980’s I explored the idea of spinning my own yarn and eventually got interested in weaving on a floor loom. I have three spinning wheels and a 24″ four-shaft Herald floor loom that I purchased from a friend in the 1990’s. I also enjoy sewing, tatting and making rosaries. I have a work room that contains my fiber, yarn, floor loom, sewing machines, serger and rosary making supplies. I have a spinning corner in a bedroom next to my work room, both with north windows looking toward the creek.
