I laundered the slacks. One pair fits and I’ll keep them. The odor in the pair of brushed denim slacks that fit me the best has not washed out and I ended up putting them out in the garage because I was getting a headache from the smell. I’ve emailed Lands End about returning two pair of slacks and should hear back from them sometime today.

The knit pair are a tad short but I’ll be wearing them around the house so it doesn’t matter that much and they are very soft and comfy otherwise.

I hate shopping for clothing. Hate as in I refuse to step into a store and try things on. Ever. So, I shop online and hope to get lucky. When it comes to finding slacks I’m not doing very well. Oh, well. Such is life.

I didn’t get anything accomplished yesterday because of the blasted headache so I’ll start fresh today and try to make some progress on my knitting and spinning and get a couple of loads of laundry done. We don’t have to go anywhere today but we have appointments with our chiropractor tomorrow and I can hardly wait.

I need to take some ground beef and chicken breasts out of the freezer to thaw. I’m in the mood for a pot of soup with ground beef and lots of veggies. I’ll put the chicken breasts in the crock pot with some new potatoes and carrots and cover it all with cream of mushroom soup. Yum!

We are rapidly running out of another month and December is upon us. I hope we are in for some colder, but not wetter, weather next month. The cold I can deal with. It’s the cold and damp that my body doesn’t like. It was so nice to see the sun yesterday. I haven’t checked to see what the weather will be like today and my phone is on the charger so I’ll check my local weather app later.

Thinking about cooking I am reminded of a recipe I came across posted on Gab for cranberry rolls. They look like cinnamon rolls but have cranberry sauce rolled up in the dough before baking. Oh, my those looked good! I also need to make some cranberry concentrate to keep in the fridge. I have two 2 lb bags of cranberries in the freezer and I think I may put them through the food processor before cooking them to speed up the process a bit.

It’s time to start the coffee and strip the beds so I can do laundry. Have a blessed Monday, ya’ll.

I am a Native Texan, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Catholic Convert residing in rural North East Texas since 1975 when I married my husband and this small town girl became a country girl. I was taught to knit at the age of ten and discovered the writings of Elizabeth Zimmerman shortly after I married. I learned to ‘unvent’ things as I went along, to create my own patterns and generally have a blast with yarn and needles. In the mid 1980’s I explored the idea of spinning my own yarn and eventually got interested in weaving on a floor loom. I have three spinning wheels and a 24″ four-shaft Herald floor loom that I purchased from a friend in the 1990’s. I also enjoy sewing, tatting and making rosaries. I have a work room that contains my fiber, yarn, floor loom, sewing machines, serger and rosary making supplies. I have a spinning corner in a bedroom next to my work room, both with north windows looking toward the creek.
