It’s All Good!

Whirlpool 30″ 5.3 cu. ft. Single Oven

Home Depot had the electric range I wanted and we ordered it today. It will be here next week. Also, our Kenmore has an extended warranty, which we forgot about, and someone will be here Monday to replace the part that went out.

I’m ready to get rid of the Kenmore and our daughter can use it at the farm. She has a smaller range and would love this one. And it’s self cleaning with convection setting and five burners on top.

Between now and Monday I can use my hotplate and the microwave to prepare meals and I also have the crockpot so we are good to go.

Also, the size 8 circular needles I ordered from The Yarn Barn of Kansas came in the mail today! Yay! I’ve got the 230 stitches for the body of the pullover on the 40″ needle instead of the 24″ needle which is a relief. My hands were beginning to ache from moving all those stitches around the 24″ needle. I’m almost finished with the first skein of brown and have the second skein wound and ready to go to finish the body of the sweater. I have two more skeins that will be plenty for the sleeves. I hope to have the body finished today and then start on the sleeves. We shall see…

I am a Native Texan, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Catholic Convert residing in rural North East Texas since 1975 when I married my husband and this small town girl became a country girl. I was taught to knit at the age of ten and discovered the writings of Elizabeth Zimmerman shortly after I married. I learned to ‘unvent’ things as I went along, to create my own patterns and generally have a blast with yarn and needles. In the mid 1980’s I explored the idea of spinning my own yarn and eventually got interested in weaving on a floor loom. I have three spinning wheels and a 24″ four-shaft Herald floor loom that I purchased from a friend in the 1990’s. I also enjoy sewing, tatting and making rosaries. I have a work room that contains my fiber, yarn, floor loom, sewing machines, serger and rosary making supplies. I have a spinning corner in a bedroom next to my work room, both with north windows looking toward the creek.
