Staying Grounded in the Word

With all the unrest and upset in our world today it is more important than ever to stay grounded in the Word of The Lord, remain focused on His plan for our salvation and not give in to unbridled fear.

We are surrounded by fear mongers and the main stream news are the worst followed by left-wing, looney-toon politicians who want us afraid and dependent upon them. Even some of our conservative politicians have joined forces with the Left and we, the American people, are left in the lurch.

You can’t turn on the TV or the radio without seeing and hearing all about it. Social media is run amok on the issue of Afghanistan at the moment. All any of us can think of is the fact that American citizens and the Afghan people who helped them are in grave danger and our so-called president is a no show. I guess The Biden Stooge wanted to make sure that his masters in China had all the lithium they need right there in Afghanistan. I don’t know and at this point I’m not sure it matters anymore.

We’ve been betrayed. The citizens of this great country have been pounded over the head for over a decade now about how ‘the US was never great to begin with’ and something needs to be done about so-called ‘white privilege’ because we are the problem somehow and our founding fathers should be erased and everything we stand for turned upside down and tossed in the rubbish. It’s a lie. It’s all a great, whopping lie. Don’t believe it.

We are descendants of the great men and women who started this wonderful experiment and founded this awesome Republic. There isn’t another country on the face of the earth to match us or what we’ve accomplished in our short existence. Be proud of that fact and don’t let the MSM and corrupt politicians convince you otherwise.

Read the Word of God daily. Go to church. Pray. Join a Bible Study group. Meet with like-minded Christian friends outside of church. Run for local school board and city council seats. Stand up and make your voices heard and speak the Word of God for others to hear.

Our Lord does not want us to cower in fear and believe the lies that are being put out about our heritage and our place in this world of ours. Stand tall. Be. Not. Afraid. Read the Bible. Remember? It all works out in the end.

“I plead with you — never, ever give up on hope, never doubt, never tire, and never become discouraged. Be not afraid.” ~ Pope St. John Paul II

I am a Native Texan, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Catholic Convert residing in rural North East Texas since 1975 when I married my husband and this small town girl became a country girl. I was taught to knit at the age of ten and discovered the writings of Elizabeth Zimmerman shortly after I married. I learned to ‘unvent’ things as I went along, to create my own patterns and generally have a blast with yarn and needles. In the mid 1980’s I explored the idea of spinning my own yarn and eventually got interested in weaving on a floor loom. I have three spinning wheels and a 24″ four-shaft Herald floor loom that I purchased from a friend in the 1990’s. I also enjoy sewing, tatting and making rosaries. I have a work room that contains my fiber, yarn, floor loom, sewing machines, serger and rosary making supplies. I have a spinning corner in a bedroom next to my work room, both with north windows looking toward the creek.
