It’s One of Those Mornings

It was difficult to get up and moving this morning. The thirty minute massage and chiropractic adjustment yesterday morning helped my back and neck but my energy level is nonexistent today.

It’s going to be hot this afternoon but at least the humidity is low and there will be a breeze later on. Yesterday was actually kind of nice despite the 90°+ heat because of the breeze and dry air. I drove to town and back with the sun roof open and the windows down for a bit of sunshine and fresh air.

Today will be a good day to rest and make some progress on my knitting. I really want to get the Stroll socks finished and work on another pair.

There is so much negative stuff in the news, online and on TV, that I’m avoiding it today. I might just pop a dvd in the player or watch streaming video. I need to catch up on Bongino’s podcasts, too and do a little reading. Brad just started reading “Life Inside the Bubble”. I am on chapter 11.

Guess I had better get the coffee brewing. Brad should be up soon.

I am a Native Texan, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Catholic Convert residing in rural North East Texas since 1975 when I married my husband and this small town girl became a country girl. I was taught to knit at the age of ten and discovered the writings of Elizabeth Zimmerman shortly after I married. I learned to ‘unvent’ things as I went along, to create my own patterns and generally have a blast with yarn and needles. In the mid 1980’s I explored the idea of spinning my own yarn and eventually got interested in weaving on a floor loom. I have three spinning wheels and a 24″ four-shaft Herald floor loom that I purchased from a friend in the 1990’s. I also enjoy sewing, tatting and making rosaries. I have a work room that contains my fiber, yarn, floor loom, sewing machines, serger and rosary making supplies. I have a spinning corner in a bedroom next to my work room, both with north windows looking toward the creek.
