These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things

Over the years I have discovered several products that I have recommended to other people, the most recent being Reliefband. I enjoy watching Dan Bongino’s podcasts and he highly recommended this product for nausea while he underwent chemo.

I sometimes have problems with nausea due to various reasons from sinus drainage to side effects of medication to migraine headaches. I figured that anything that would help with nausea from chemo must be worth trying. It works. I’m wearing it right now and have worn it for most of the day. It’s time to charge the battery so I can wear it during the night.

I have dry skin and the best lotion I have found is from Simplified Soap right here in Texas. It is a goat milk body lotion and comes in several fragrances. My favorite is Lemon & Lavender. Brad has been using it for his eczema. It soaks in quickly, is non greasy and immediately gives relief. You can also buy refill bags for the glass pump bottles.

They have other products that I purchase including their Body Wash and liquid Hand Soap. They also make a wonderful face cream with Frankincense, Lavender and Geranium. Take a look at their website and I’m sure you will find something you like.

Brad and I have been taking vitamin/mineral packs from Melaleuca for five years and I haven’t found a better product for either of us.

We also rely on various essential oils and other products from Young Living that make life easier for both of us. I am expecting a shipment from Young Living any day.

As I come across other products I will share them and hope some of you find them helpful.

I am a Native Texan, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Catholic Convert residing in rural North East Texas since 1975 when I married my husband and this small town girl became a country girl. I was taught to knit at the age of ten and discovered the writings of Elizabeth Zimmerman shortly after I married. I learned to ‘unvent’ things as I went along, to create my own patterns and generally have a blast with yarn and needles. In the mid 1980’s I explored the idea of spinning my own yarn and eventually got interested in weaving on a floor loom. I have three spinning wheels and a 24″ four-shaft Herald floor loom that I purchased from a friend in the 1990’s. I also enjoy sewing, tatting and making rosaries. I have a work room that contains my fiber, yarn, floor loom, sewing machines, serger and rosary making supplies. I have a spinning corner in a bedroom next to my work room, both with north windows looking toward the creek.
